Exactly

A customer of mine had this fitted to his car by a well know tuner and paid ALOT of money for it

The above part was quickly replaced with custom made items then mapped as the engine before was running without a cam sensor. The owner was also told that it had been mapped HOW without the phase sensor working????

Its sposed to be a cam sensor?

Why not change it to a Cam sensor you like the look of (Hidden) and works 100% with 360degree adjustment.

IMO the point of having a Cam sensor is that at any later date you can use a coil pack and also you dont have a cut and shut dizzy or a home made type item to go wrong or made wrong to start with.

The less moving parts to fail the better.

A dizzy cap
rotar arm

can fail at any point.

A cam sensor uses no parts that wear over time. Obviously the sensor will one day need replacing, but going by some cosworths that are still running on their 15year old CPS with no problems i wouldnt expect to have the same life span on our setup's.

Regards

DaveEscos

The sensor can be used on a CVH or any engine with the right management and setup, but the resistance is different to a Cosoworth CPS.

It matters in my case but not to everyone.

I'm more interested in ways to mount the Sensor than the actual Sensor used, I need to check what type of Sensor is needed yet.

CheeRS for your help so far guys!

Why would you want to go sequential?

Batch firing is better IMO on these cars. Only advantage is emissions!

[/trumpet blowing on]

I designed and made that.

[/trumpet blowing off]

Takes standard sierra phase sensor, rotor arm, and dizzy cap.

cool! mine never leaked so i surpose i was a lucky one!

i heard about misfires at high rpm but i was informed this was due to the disc bein to slim and vibratin about! i ve made mine slightly thicker!

you got one cool motor! hopefully ill be out in mine next year!

Is that Jano's setup? I don't run a Cambelt Cover at the moment.

Incidentally, I know its your old engine, shouldn't there be a one-way valve in the Pipe to the Servo? Just a casual observation!!
