Default FWD drifting vid.....................

Okay, so it runs slicks on the front, and not a lot on the rear, but I still think it shows some pretty good car control!

FWD drifting is the gayest thing ever, its not really drifting, its just ass dragging with the handbrake on, but...

It looks ok.

In a gay as fuck way

I think it's some good car control - look at the control of the steering wheel.

There's no driving on the throttle, which is infinitely more easy.

Ask Mike - we both went round the Ring in a guy who drifted a FWD mini, and it was seriously impressive!

Or so people like to think.

No bloody way is that harder, his wheels are locked all the time, its not as if hes causing the car to oversteer with freely spinning wheels is it.

Now THIS is pure skill-

And fuck all power either, 170 or so, and none of this rear wheels locked gayness

Yeah, I've got that vid.

I just can still appreciate how much better that is - FWD oversteer, whether it be handbrake or weight transfer induced is seriously difficult to control because of the lack of push factor.

weight transfer is hard, not convinced with just on the handbrake tho.

handbrake in any drfting spoils it IMO, unfortunatley tooo many people rely on it these days.

makes initiating the drift far easier, but if they using the handbrake at all long enough for a spectator to even notice a locked rear wheel, the drift is ruined IMO, some people use the handbrake for half the bloody drift, which is poo.

im not gonna fit one until i get good (if i ever get good ) so i dont rely on it, purely use it for a fraction of a sec to help the initiation

Watching the English D1 guys at GT Battle, there was an awful lot of corner entry sideways on the handbrake - didn't think that was real drifting - more like skidding, and then power oversteering out the corner!

LOL have to admit it looks as gay as someone in a Saxo with serving trays under the back wheels BUT probably no where near as easy as it actually looks so big respect to the guy.

Full agree with the handbrake comments, shouldn't be used noticably on a competative level.

Fudge/Rich- Yes exactly, the UK lot use it WAY too much, but when the Jap D1 lot came to UK there was no noticable handbrake use.

You lose points for noticable use of it, hence why they didnt do too good against the Japs.
