Lotus Exige S1
Drove my mate one a fair bit. Handling is awesome as are the brakes. not that fast in a straight line (quick enough though) you dont really need to slow down for much when you get used to the handling.
Obviously not very practical and its gets warm in the cabin to say the least!
Mate used it as an everyday car in the summer although i wouldnt reccomend it if you fairly large as getting in and out can be a bit of a pain in the arse if your not used to it
other than that it was fine and not problems to report really.

noise is fairly loud but it depends what your used too. the engine is right benhind your head but its not that bad (like i said compared to what your used to!)
You dont come out with ringing ears or anything and they come with a mini disc player so obviously not louder than the stereo and you can talk etc. It makes a nice roar when you get higher up the revs (i.e driving it properly) but normal driving is fine. Its not a problem at all TBH.

cant comment on a exgie, but i just bought a S1 elise
with the roof of it's slightly more awkward getting in and out, but not a problem and i had people getting in mine yesterdat that were 6ft tall
the roof on obviously comes off and makes getting in and out easier, the S1 exige doesn't come off.
noise in mine, is fine, wind noise picks up at around 70ish i reckon
fuel ecconmy is awesome
agreed straight line speed is slow compared to a cossie, but cornering is shocking
still getting used to that

Awesome looking little car IMO, I'd definately be having one if I had the money! I prefer the look of the series 1's over the series 2's aswell, it'd have to be one of the traditional 'silver with black wheels' versions for me
