Default Mondeo 2.5 V6 24v Duratec

Hi
The 12v battery ( Motorcraft ) fitted to my V6 seems very small compared to size of the compartment - is this battery ok for the many electrics this car has to deal with or should I be looking to replace it with something a bit meatier ?

Cheers

S

Ford don't spend thousand of pounds on R& D, durability tests etc to then go ahead and fit a battery that isn't capable of it's task!

I usually go for the heavy duty option when I'm replacing the battery as it's only a couple of quid more but there's no point unless your battery is fooked imo

Like he said, if your cars starting ok and everythings working then why change it? If you do, the ford "silver top" ones are good, got one on my car.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies - reason I asked was that battery light came up for a couple of seconds last night, while I had blower / Stereo and lights on - and thought it may be overpowering the battery - I've monitored it today and the light hasnt come on once. Was surprised how small battery was, but looked well greased on terminals and generally good nick. Panic over nothing but will replace with heavier duty one when it does pack in.

Thanks again - appreciate it.

Si
