That does look very, very nice indeed mate, if you can get it like that then you can't go far wrong!

BTW, which Mo's are you thinking of, the classic 5 spoke of the new 17'' 6 spoke?

How about Cossies? They're 1" smaller, but 1" wider! Look great on a red 90-spec Escort MK4

Series 2 on Cossie Rims always work very well as shown, agreed there an inch smaller and an inch wider, perfect for handling really IMO!

Absolute pants! They look good there's no denying that but the offset is miles out! I know far too many people that have gone through the grief to fit them to Escorts and Fiesta's only to change them again as it bollocks'd up the car.

Well obviously they aint spent enough time on it then, a mate had Escos rims on his car 3 years ago, was spot on for handling, and yeah they looked great!

It amases me everytime I hear people telling me their Escorts handle great with these wheels on. Change them for something/anything else and there will be an improvement. Like so many people you seem to be confusing cornering with handling.

I have tried them on Escorts and Fiesta's they are shite!!!!

Spent ages getting them on a mates Fiesta and they were on E-Bay three days later.

Thing is mate when I mean we spent ages on them, we spent absolutely ages on them, it was months before we got it right not just days!

Don't get me wrong it wasn't without hassle, the amount of tyres he shredded whilst we we're trying them out (unfortunately we could go for a quick run with them on as it was his only car) was unbelievable, but it can be done, thats all i'm saying, and when they were right it was sorted

..and no, i'm not confusing cornering with handling here mate

They may not be perfect but they were pretty good, but nuff said cos i'm hijacking the kids post here!

I know what you mean about ages. We were at it for a whole weekend on the Fiesta, measuring, trimming etc.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one chap

Guess so mate, not sure I agree with what your saying about agreeing to disagree, i'm saying anything can be done on a budget, but then my mate spent 16k on an 1100cc Fiesta! (it was a 1600cvh EFI before he sold it), not saying i'm right mind you, but that was far too much!!! )

Whether it be 16's or 17's i'm not sure an Escort or Fiesta 'handles' better either way on either, don't get me wrong. if someone else said the same about Escos rims on FRST or ERST I wouldn't do it again!

In a roundabout way I know what you mean, and agree to a certain extent with you! lol
