does anyone know or have links to information about lowering the rear torsion bar on a pug 106 GTI, checked varoius forums but still cant find any info,

I always thought it was a case of getting a slide hammer on the bar, sliding it out, lowering each side the same amount of splines, then sliding the bar back in.

Never done it myself, but it doesnt sound too tricky

theyre really easy to do

heres a how to guide for the proper way to do it,

u can do it by "clicks" which is much easier but not 100% accurate

thas a saxo but theyre the same

^^^i used that guide

depends how rusted bits are as to how easy they come off. definately not a novice job

hence why garages charge 100+ to do it
