Default Toyo Proxes T1R or Fulda extremo /dunlop sp9000 etc ?

Just about to go for a pair of proxes T1 R's as I can no longer get the Eagle F1's that are on my car.
Just wondered if anyone else was using them and how they find them ?

Cheers
Jay

oh row locks I just ordered a set to come in at my local tyre place I wonder how annoyed he would be if I phoned and said I didn't want them
what would you suggest then, I'm really struggling to find a decent tyre now.
Dunlop SSR's are not available and same with Eagle F1's

I run Toyo's on my Sapph, it was discovered that if you run them at
standard tyre pressure's they are not so good, give a wandering feeling
BUT, If you run them about 5psi over standard they are great !

I run 36psi All round now

well I just phoned the chap at the tyre place, and well rather than talking to me properly he made out I was a gimp and said we have them on our audi and they are fine doesn't matter that 10+ people have had probs etc.
All he had to do is call toyo for me or give me info about tyre pressures, but instead he thought he would talk to me like I'm an idiot. Won't be sending anymore customers there, very unprofessional

So now I need to find another make that do a 225/40/16 or perhaps I could use a slightly differnt size tyre and get an eagle F1 D3

BTW thanks for the heads up Stu much appreciated

I wouldn't be putting a road legal slick on in November!

Buy the best you can afford - personally it would only be Pirelli/Goodyear for me.........

PON, was that in response to my original post before I edited? Is that what Toyo R888's are? Road Legal slicks?

Didn't know that, just suggested them as someone on here said they were a bloody good tyre agreed not the best time of year for them then!

Dont buy the Avon ZZ3's. I have had four of them on four corners of my van wear the inside inch to inch and a half completely bald when the rest of the tyre is like brand new. The van has been on laser alignment twice and is set OK. I now have Nankangs on it and they are not wearing the same. I also know of a Saab which had two ZZ3's on the back which is a solid beaam and they wore the same on it......not a happy bunny as they aint cheap.

just ordered a pair of goodyear F1's from mytyres in a 215/40/16 instead of the 225/40/16 thats on the car. Noticed lastnight the spare has this size on and it looks to fit ok other than you don't have quite as much rim protection. At least now they will all match

I have had the Fulda Carat Extremo under my 330bhp cossie 4x4, what a nightmare! They are like the stories like the Toyo's Stu put under his car. It felt like the back of the car went all places and every corner was a struggle to survive!

Don't buy the Fulda Carat Extremo !!
