yes you should be able to however when i tried doing mine through HIC it was cheaper to stay with normal cover! im paying £800 with 2 years no claims and they wanted £868 IIRC on the classic car policy...they said something about they cant carry across your no claims bonus hence my quote...could be different with yours...try it

regarding the 525...when my parents tried adding me to their policy on a 328 and a 330 BMW...their insurance company they couldnt do it and i had to be over 25 (im only 22 and tried when i was 20 and 21)...plus if they do cover you, they will base it on the youngest driver so expect it to go up pretty high IMO

For classic car insurance most companies want a driver over 25 years old, up to 3000 miles annually, no accidents in last 3 years. Oh and the main problem, some companies dont recognise a s2 rst as a classic car.

bump what bassboy said on both counts!!!

HIC are funny fuckers, every....and i mean every car i ring them for a quote on they ask "what experience i have of that sort of vehicle"....i mean ffs, my 205 Mi16 was a 1.6 GTi on the logbook and they wanted experience of "that sort of performance vehicle" when i rung it thru

btw. im 21, 2 yrs no claims, no accidents/convictions

funnily enuf tho once i proved i had experience enough i told them the rest of the shit (mi16, stripped, rollcage, buckets etc etc.) and they didnt really give a fuck, just charged me another ton pmsl

Got my S2 Cabriolet on a Classic policy with HIC, 3,000 miles per year.

Paying peanuts with 7 years NCB, although the car has covered about 200 miles in the last year.
