So, what a day!!!
Getting the car finished was a bit of a last minute rush, we had quite a few problems in the last few weeks. Finally got the new Cam and Intercooler in on Wednesday and mapped the car on Wednesday night in the rain!! That was fun. NOT.
Anyway, great show of cars today, some that I have seen before and one-or-two that I haven't. Consistent great attitudes from everyone, fantastic atmosphere.
First run of the day, I got on the brakes a little early, so imagine my surprise when the results came up at 168.84mph. There was a little concern at first over the accuracy, but close inspection of the Graph by the PF boys and a subsequent Test Run in Nicks car confirmed that the time was indeed correct. I hit 162mph within a Mile on that run.
Due to the early braking thing, I couldn't wait to get out again. This time, the run felt much the same, but I was later on the brakes. The result was 168.82!!
My third and final run was using Tony's 17" Wheels, which returned a result of 168.1mph. Consistent eh?
I had the same kind of scenario last year, going slower with bigger wheels. On reflection, I wish I had swapped tyres Front to Rear as my Fronts are on the Treadwear Limit and the Rears are like new, so that might have just need enough to snatch the 170mph mark!!
Anyway, whilst part of me is a little disappointed that I didn't hit 170mph, my target for the day was 165mph, so of course I am over the moon.
As usual, I couldn't even tell you what my Sprint times were. I did plan to make more effort with these, but the initial Top Speed run over-shadowed everything. I have no shame though, so if anyone does have them, post them up!!
Thanks to everyone concerned, including PF and everyone else who came today, it was a great day.

Beantin by name, Beantin by nature.
Was nice and stable, until I got to the bit where it opens out and there are fewer Trees beside the Runway. Then it tends to pick up a bit of a crosswind and you have to kind of let it go where it wants!!
Christian and Beccy Fast car
you will need to add about 20hp and it will pull 170mph each time,
On Rods we did 192mph in the mile in the wet and I didnt even go for it until 130+

Well Done Mr C & Miss B
I still cant believe when i was out in Garys evo and he launched it (after you tried to distract him, by getting him to look the other way
) and pulled away ahead that your RST managed to catch and pass a 380bhp Evo
Was an excellent day for all involved was impressed with Ollie and Tims cars and they times & speeds they produced
Im espically happy for Tony, his car did a fine job today and he drove really well to keep the power in until the last moment before braking and it showed, the car went really well and produced the speeds he wanted
I know how he was feeling right up to the 1st run but after the 2nd run he was really over the moon
It been a long time coming for him, but he's got the magic 160+mph CVH RST he wanted, WELL DONE TONY
Cant believe we got 4 CVH RST's all doing 160+ mph runs well done the RST's

Well done guys, It was a crackin day and as Christian said, the atmosphere was spot on - for once it seemed like we were all enthisiasts again - all with one common goal!
If only all shoot-outs were as enjoyable as this
Everyone came home with a result to smile about.
It's nice to see the divide between YBT and CVH getting closer. Next year may see even better results and I hope i'm there to see it.
Thanks to Phil, Sid and Luke for the test drives!! Maybe next time I'll bring my own car
