yea clogged throttle body and number 2 plug lead. not what i thought but aint really had chance to look at it
just rang me, £135 all in. so not to bad really. im just a tight arse student. lol

They did me a quote for a clutch on my S3, minimum of £1200 but they couldn't guarantee the hours, fair enough I suppose but a rough idea seemed fair!!

I charge £50 an hour or more like £15- 20 on restorations.

aint steve scott the cheepest labour charge, i heard was about 30 quid a hour ( but then he may be a slow worker
)
think that takes the piss at work they was asked to fit a second hand engine and also do the cam belt, not a job we normally do
anyway the mechanic fits the engine and then when the engine is fitted he the starts to change the cambelt
reason for it is thats how the manual says to do a cam belt
even better the customer actually paid it
oh and ford charge 105.75 per hour including vat, just they take too long working on cars ( 5 hours to do a clutch on a sierra cosworth
)

You dont need to use main dealers for a diagnostic test .
we charge £25.00 for a code read for engine ,ABS.Air bag ect
