Default escort series one reshell

I bought a series one couple of years ago, turned out I was young and stupid and the body shop said it was to rotten.
Thanks to guy in doncaster who sold it to me

found an xr3i shell with genuine bodykit sprayed white on ebay and started tranferring everything over.
few questions if anyone can help

If I do a bit of clever soldering with the xr loom from pieces of the series one loom could it be done, dont fancy ripping it out to start again if can help it.

Already transferred front antiroll bar across. mate told me there was one on the back as well????

What do I tell the insurance company....Is it a series one, a modded xr3??
Any help would be well received, I figure I can use it all year round, its not worth hardly anything

there is a roll bar on the rear mate, as for the loom unless your a dab hand in autolecs i wolud just take the proper loom out the rotten shell and put it in the xr oneas turbo looms are a nightmare

It's a modified XR3i fitted with a turbo engine.
2 reasons:

Firstly, it will keep the insurance down as it is an xr3i with an uprated engine.

Secondly, it was made an xr3i, so it will never be a S1. Only a S1 replica at best

Good luck on the re-shell anyway

eeshk, I dont fancy paying loads more money on insurance than the car is actually worth. coz Apart from the shell its s1 bits, suspension interior exterior dash, s2 brakes. I know this still makes it a xr3. May have to admit defeat and sell it for parts, get a mint s1.
