Hi all, sorry, but I've got another alcohol related post. My wife is breastfeeding our 3 day old lil man "Finlay". She loves Guiness, is it good for you? Becca seems to think that it's got Iron and stuff and is good for breastfeeding mums? Anyone know any different? She has a can anight, is that allright?

I wouldn't begin to even try and understand what the intake of alcohol does to any baby/mum breastfeeding.

However, if in doubt, I suggest YOU drink the Guinness, and watch the baby being breastfed

When i had my little one they say you have to think of what you eat/drink as it passes to bubba through breast feeding, its not the going in bit you have to worry about its the coming out bit! yuk, a little tipple wont hurt though, unfortunatly the health info changes so much you never know whats good and what aint! just make sure you aint got the nappy after baby has the feed!
