When i accelerate, in 1st, 2nd, i hit 15psi, too risky pushing it over that, 3rd about 18psi and 4th, 5th i can boost to 20si?? Is that right? Ive got a standard intercooler, but its chipped. Could it just be my clutch slipping, broken boost gauge or it can reach that on standard intercooler. I thought the highest you can hit is 15psi.

 

About 14psi on standard cooler mate, and even then ACT's will be through the roof, i'd not like to be running that boost on the standard inter warmer

 

Why does it show 20 psi ??

 

you can phsically run 20 psi bit its not a good idea

max of 14psi is reccomended by most

 

The head gasket blew, but didnt bother me as i was stripping it soon. It lasted about 4 months with a bit of thrashing here and there. I just didnt know if you could hit 20psi with standard I/C.

Dont boot it in 3rd, 4th, or 5th till you get it sorted, weird how it rises SO much

 

mine does exactly the same, taking it turbosystems before it goes BOOOOM!

 

Ive basically stripped it now, but i was just thinking about it the other day & couldnt work it out.

 

mine is reaching 22psi at times then it boggs down othertimes, think its the actuator spring too week! if you had of adjusted your actuator i dont think the boost wouldnt reach that high?

 

The point im making is i didnt think you could hit 20 psi with a standard intercooler....Everydays a school day!

lol....i was xpecting it to blow, so it wasnt to heart breaking. It was on its last legs.

 

mine does this, its down to the acuator being to week.

 

mine runs just under a bar all day long

 

mine runs 18psi...........at the flick of a switch nice normal 6psi for every day driving
