My missus is still suffering with her neck injury over a year after her accident so it's prob not a bad thing. MAke sure the insurance don't try and stiff you. We were offered a paltry Ł500 for our old 2i, We called em up and called them some unpleasant names. They told us the mods hadn't been declared. When we proved they had the offer was raised to Ł900. After 4 months of fighting and threatening to go to the insurance obudsman we finally got Ł2500 for it.

If you dont get the offer you want, you could always try to claim directly off the other fellas insurance, they might contact you directly to settle anyway so that they can minimise costs.
If you're not happy with an offer you can accept an interim payment to get you some cash, start checking around for similar cars to yours so you have evidence of what it's worth, unfortunately the book price will be cr4p but we all know how much these go for in the real world.

Strip anything worth having from the car without taking the mick. I made darn sure teh genuine 2i Recaro's came out before the scrappy came to collect and the chipped ECU and K&N live on in my mums 2i
