Default 200bhp S2? What do you think?

I need your opinion on the following:

Series 2 RS Turbo.

Newly rebuilt 1600cc with stock pistons, rods and gasket.
Stock intercooler
Stock turbo
Stock actuator
Stock fuel pump
Stock ECU

In fact, totally stock apart from stainless exhaust and a K+N as far as I'm aware.

The owner reckons it's running 22psi... and 200 and something bhp at the flywheel, and 170 something bhp at the wheels

Now I'll admit I know nothing about tuning an RS Turbo... but that sounds very unfeasible. At a guess I'd say the exhaust and filter might add 10bhp at a push, and running that kind of boost would be stupid/dangerous/impossible with a stock intercooler/actuator etc...

What do you think? Is it actually possible?

And does he stand a chance against mine:

Phase 2 EDS software
14.4 litre race spec front mount intercooler
Six speed gearbox with LUK clutch
Permanent four wheel drive
Full samco silicone boost hose set
Green cotton panel filer in drilled airbox
Uprated Courtenay adjustable actuator set to 19psi
Enlarged and polished inlet tophat, externally chromed
Champion EON 2 spark plugs gapped at 0.6mm
Magnecor KV85 8.5mm red silicone ignition leads
Adjusted fuel pressure regulator

Sounds about right...

I presume there are many things that would need changing for 200bhp?

Ok thanks... he gets left behind by a stock Mk5 Zetec-S Fiesta!

Yet he's adamant he has 200bhp? What can I do? I need some details of why he can't produce that kind of power.

His rst is prob running like a bag of shyte

How fcuk would he know what boost it runs if he doesnt have a boost guage (i assume he doesnt, or else you could go in it and see for yourself)

A standard chip is only good for around 12psi, anything above and it will cut the fuel!

A standard intercooler is on it's limmits at 15-16psi (running relitively high ACT's)

standard actuator unless newish wouldnt hold that boost, infactr would prob only be able to go upto bout 16psi?

he's a COCK and he knows it

Erm No......

As said standard ECU will limit the car to about 10-12psi this alone would mean no more than 145-150bhp

If it is chipped then it is more than possible to be in the 180's. Depending on the rollers the car may have made 200bhp. My missus FRST made 207bhp with nothing more than a hybrid T3, beiges, 195 chip, Magnex and K&N. I'm not saying I fully buy the figure but depending where it was done it's not impossible.

He would need a very real 200bhp to even hang on to a Clibra Turbo's coat tails. They are quick cars

Default shite

no chance stock turbos cant cope really over 180bhp and if they could it would be running very hot as the turbo would superheat.

first of all, the RST in question here is my S2. and second of all its seems ben martin AKA jammiesimms is talkin out of his arse. His list of mads is about as accurate as blind man shooting a gun!!!

I do claim 170bhp @ the wheels with a graph to proove so 200bhp @the flywheel is abouty right!

My mods are as follows:

Forge Low Comp Pistons
Steel Crank
Kent CVH35 cam kit
Port and polished head
Collins Chips
Mongoose exhaust
K&N
1 bar of boost

As regards to my 'race with a zetec s' i find it ammusing how he fails to mention it had just been run in and @ the time hadnt been back to have my chips fitted and boost raised! I was only running 0.4bar so its not exactly suprising and he didnt beat me at all......yet even more bull!!!

Make your own assumptions but at the end of the day this is coming from someone who has a calibra turbo who 1 drives with no insurance, 2 has no liecence and 3 thinks its quickier than an S2000!!!

"Forged low comp pistons" - THEY ARE STANDARD FORD ONES I HAVE A PICTURE OF THE BOX! "Steel crank" It's a fooking second hand standard one... again I have a god damn picture!

And as for the rolling road graph it does not say 200bhp... either you are blind or just a god damn blagger!

I will post up said picture in a few moments... just to show everyone how totally full of sh1t you are!

Oh and look what was said on your other thread... "My S2" and also on your "What to expect" thread.

"yeh, i have had a complete steel bottom end (crank, rods, forge low comp pistons) stage 3 big valve head, CVH35 cam"

Changed your spec again chap? When did you get steel rods? The fact is you didn't... and as the photos prove you've got nothing thats made by Forge. Federal Mogul my friend... cheap stock replacements.

I didn't want to have to humiliate you on the internet but perhaps now you will learn.

There is only one way to shut this bullshitting cunt up and go out and race him, other than that go round to his house and give him a slap from every member of Passion |ford for talking utter bullshit

He must be very stupid and retarded if he thinks he can bullshit like that on a forum that has a lot of intelligent people who know more than most of the users

BTW, do the standard RST "AE" and "Mahle" pistons come from the same factory or is there a significant difference?

So how come you said it was 200bhp when the graph clearly states like 174? Then all of a sudden you change your mind! Hmmm!

And stop avoiding the question... WHY did you state it has steel rods, crank and forge pistons. Like people say on here, your power figures and spec are a load of crap!

To give an example of how I do my mods.... when I put my phase 2 chips in, everyone saw them, everyone saw the reciept, and now everyone can see my standard chips.

Hell I've even taking photos of how to fit them!

Whereas you can have whole cars (ie that 106 GTi) that nobody ever even sees! You just blag about the mods on an imaginary car!

As for my driving test I passed a long time ago. As for my insurance yes it has ran out but my car's off the road. As for being a paedophile, it wasn't me that picked up the 12yr old last week!
