I have a 1990 saff coss 4x4, for a while my s.e.c.s monitor has been talking rubbish when it comes to the rpm reading, I didnt really think anything of this assuming it to be my connection or something, however I just fitted a clifford avantiguard with intellistart and when I connect it to my laptop the rpm reading is exactly the same as the one on the s.e.c.s monitor i.e. bo**ox, also the rev counter has occasionaly started spiking, is this the cause of the ignition amp and if so is it the same as any other ford or anything else ignition amps, or do I have to pay the full price of £50 for a new one.
