KE-Jetronic Fuelling Mods
I have heard connecting vacuum from the charge carrier to the fuel pressure regulator and doing some adjustment to the metering unit will increase the capacity of the KE-Jetronic. Is the adjusment done to the electro-magnetic pressure actuator that sits on the side of he metering unit? There is a small screw on the back and. My guess that this screw adjusts the base pressure that the fuel ecu does adjustments to when on full open throttle etc. Of course all adjustments must be done with a wide band lambda to analyse the mixture.
I did some runs with Innovative LM-1 wide band lambda and the fueling was good at 14-16 PSI of boost. First the mixture was 11.4:1 but after leaning it a bit out with the CO screw it showed 11.7:1. Consistent fueling through the revs. The mixture should be between 12:1 and 13:1 for maxium power and a little on the lean side dosn't hurt when I'm running standard intercooler. I must get a new intercooler before I turn the boost up.

no i dont have a vacuum pipe connected to it, apt just modified my fuel pressure, to keep the fuel there up to 20 psi, checked on their lambda on the road and its fine (done 9k now on new engine), no pinking, fuel isnt to bad, i get 210miles out of 34 quids worth of tescos super (which my car loves over optimax now)
went to santa pod there and back last weekend 260 mile round trip, done 3/4 of a tank cruising at 70 to 80 mph.
so the need for a 5th injector isnt always the only opition to fuel for lots of air input, as my car shows, but it depends on the tuner i suspose
