I fitted a new pulley side cam oil seal today as last one was leaking

Bit of a prob now as i think abit of sealent has gone into the oil way on number 1 as the tappet is not priming up.. so im thinking its blocked as i just changed tappet and its still not priming..

How can i go about cleaning the oil way ..when i take the tappet out i see the small hole half way down ..is it just a matter of feeding some small wire to clear the blockage?

 

squirt a load of brake cleaner down there with the straw attacthment on it untill clear

 

Ok will give that a go tomrw
