Default can low water temps hurt?

after fitting my laminova, pro alloy rad and turbo pre rad

today i was seeing crusing temps of 74 degs!!!

surley this isnt normal?

beats overheating though!!

do you run a thermostat ? if you do sounds liek its not working

my stat is 82 degrees and with my pro alloy rad it allways stays at 82 degrees.

yep, brand new one.. i did think this though tbh craig...

i have a grp a therm housing though.. it has some internal mods i believe

porbably about 90C.

As thats seems to be the optimum of most engines, could be wrong with the cossy though.

leave it idling, and it gets to 90-94 no probs, but once on the roll... they drop a lot.

maybee pro alloys stuff is TOO good

I get 78°C on the monitor at slow speed cruising, so doesn't seem out of the way to me. It is more important what it sits when flat out .

Same on my 1600 CVH NA gets to temp ok on idle and slow traffic work but motorway bearly gets over the white mark on the gaude, and in the winter ur lucky if it gets out of the white gaude, could this just be the thermostate, since its had a new one 15k back, and it seems to work when the engines warming up the rad stays warm and then suddenly gets really hot after about 4 mins of running, like i said do u reckon this could just be the thermostate.
