A so called knowledgeable friend of mine decided last night to impress me and some work colleagues with his Cosworth knowledge. Among the many things he claimed were

1) All Sapphire Cosworths are front wheel drive. The 4x4 simply means the wheels are linked together???

2) The engine from the Escort Cosworth is the same as that in the S2 RST but with a bigger turbo

3) Ford NEVER produced a rally based Escort Cosworth

4) The Monte Carlo Escort Cosworth is so named because that was where it was designed?? See number 3 above for this reasoning.

No amount of arguing with him would prove him wrong so please, put him right, abuse the crap out of him and then I'll email him the link to this page.

Needless to say, I won't be asking him for advice on my car.
