From link.

A MAN was today fighting for his life after an horrific crash on a notorious country road.
David George Thompson, 21, of Kingfisher Drive, Poulton, suffered serious head and facial injuries in the accident on Singleton Road near Weeton.
Police said the Peugeot 306 he was travelling in left the road and landed in a nearby field, rolling several times before coming to a stop. It is believed Mr Thompson, who was a front seat passenger in the car, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where his condition was today described as critical.
It is believed no other vehicle was involved.
The road was closed for more than three hours as accident investigators closed off the scene following the crash, which happened at 5.20pm yesterday, near to Weeton Army base.
The 19-year-old male driver and 20-year-old male rear passenger of the Peugeot both walked free from the wreck after escaping with only minor injuries.
A police spokesman said: "It appears the Peugeot failed to negotiate a right-hand bend, left the road and ended up in a field where it rolled several times. The front seat passenger sustained serious head and facial injuries. His condition is described as critical."
Singleton Road, which runs between Weeton and Singleton, has been the scene of numerous accidents in the last few years.
Anyone with any information or who witnessed the incident is asked to call Blackpool police on (01253) 293933.

i'm sorry bt i dont agree with jumping on the guy who mentioned the seatbelt.

if you'd had mates that have died from not wearing seatbelts in cars then maybe youd understand his fucking point!

it makes me VERY angry to see people not wearing seatbelts ans they dont learn till theyre dead

i hope the guy's ok, but frankly if you dont wear a seatbelt in a car, you're a cock. Remember that if you died, its your friends and family that suffer.

jim seat belts can also cause injury, ive got a family member that died when wearing a seat belt and we was told that the seat belt actually was prob the reason for it

its just down to the situation, BUT generally they do save lives,,,,,,, i admit in the works cars i tend to leave em off though

AND i only wear one in my car as it saves me getting a fine, id personally rather not wear one

thats my opinion

anyway if thats david off here then i thoughts are deffo with his family as hes a cool guy

Seatbelts are they for others safety, not just your own
Watch the adverts and learn from it....

hope the guy gets better, I really do, but lessons will be learnt the hard way

I learnt how NOT to drive when in a slide on the muddy roads - I ended upside down ina field!!

The only nob is the lad on life support you prick, does he think it's clever now not to wear a seatbelt?

How can anyone be sympathetic towards someone who doesn't obey a simple law of safety thats been around for 22 years?

Do you think it's clever and acceptable to NOT wear a seatbely you fecking muppet

I wish him and his familty all the best but when will people learn about seatbelts?!

You can kill other people by not wearing them, not just yourself. 4 of my mates were in a crash a year ago, 2 wearing belts, 2 not. 2 wearing belts had fairly minor injuries. Of the two not wearing seatbelts one died and one spent a week having a 90% chance of dying but fortunatel;y survived after months in hospital.

Says it all for me!
