218bhp (depending on model year) as standard for a UK car. 0-60 has been timed at around 5.9s and 143ish mph top speed...

 

My m8 Dave has a stealth RB5, with a few choice upgrades. Makes about 380bhp.

Fuck me it's rapid. Just wish the transmission could cope

you've got to realise that to get <6s to 60 you've probably got to do a full throttle launch just letting the clutch go. not something that a normal owner would want to do regularly. if they tried to launch or race you and were caught off boost or in the wrong gear (as most of the computer geeks who buy these have no mechanical idea whatsoever), then you may have a chance.

 

id say they're not that slow... Me mate has a V plate UK one and was ok. He's since had the PPP pack fitted and makes a great difference.

yes they are. My old W plate WRX is / was a bit quicker than his Uk one.

2.0 sports are crap wannabee cars.... (like XR4i / 3dr Cossie!! )

Untill recently i owned a scoob and my cossie, Id pick the cossie any day of the week.

One thing about the scooby though it was amazing off the lights not much touched it. Mine was standard bar back box and centre section. I did a magazine shoot out day at york drag way last year and it got a recorded 4.8 to 60. Proper gave it some though 6k launches. Suffice to say my clutch wsent on the way home

Good all round cars just not to clever once out of 2nd gear IMO standard wise. Also dont get a kick like you do in a cossie when coming on boost.

 

Stock UK Imprezza Turbo is not all that quick. I beleive they are claimed to do 0-60 in 5.8. In al fairness a stock one would be an even fight for a stock Cossie. And the Imprezza really isn't all that once rolling
