Default Norton Anti-Virus 2006?

Hi all,

My subscription renewal for 2003 just come up & on the Norton website theres the option to buy 2006 now when looking online elsewhere on UK sites it's not available for a couple more weeks. The price is only in $$'s & theres also an upgraded version of 2006 available which I can't find at all on any uk sites. My question is, is it gonna be ok to download one of these versions as it looks to be miles cheaper when you take into account the exchange rate plus this upgraded version looks miles better than the 2006 that's gonna be available shortly in UK.

Or am I gonna have probs?

Cheers,
Ian

Neither - download AVG-Free anti-virus and save loads of money, and have a faster PC

I have Norton on my downstairs PC and AVG on my own PC, and tbh I prefer AVG - runs in the backround better, is faster and don't slow the PC down as much. Still does real time scanning and all that stuff.....

You can get the "pay" version, but Grisoft offer a decent freebie version - don't ask me why, I don't know why any of these companies do stuff fro free but I am glad they do

Thrush, never just run one virus program lad I agree AVG is the nut's of a virus scanner, but it's better when running with norton's and mcafee

as above dan says i also run 2 coss im special

avg is like trend they seem to get the virus information faster than norton

as both are free ....i use them both ..for the internet ..
but dont like agvs email scanner .

as for hogging pc useage. your only surfing the net ...not multi tasking ..

if you wanna play games or burn cds just turn them off via the task bar..

i was bitten once.. ...lost 120g hard drive right before my eyes ..

due to a virus ..FOR WARNED IS FOR ARMED ..
