Default pc gaming/techie question

my keyboard and mouse seem to go crazy at almost any time during a game, wether its 2 mins or 20 mins into it.

what i can say is that its not the mouse and keyboard themselves and not a heat related issue,it happens on quake 3 and unreal tournament,up to yet.
I have the most upto date drivers for my graphix card which is a gforce 3

any ideas because its driving me crazy?

its a conflict with your hardware "somewhere"

after my pc was rebuilt 1k upgrade ..unrealtour2004 & battlefield2 would not play

does the player run off and start shooting for no reason like your moving the

mouse but YOUR NOT

SAID to the pc builder I wasnt happy ..as the upgrade was made to PLAYGAMES

so after 1 week of changing and swapping parts ..

i ended up with his motherboard

AND NOW IT RUNS SOOOOOOOOOOO SWEET "touchs wood"

try a few different games in it

u say uve tried another mouse and still does it?

have u tried a PS2 mouse? If so, have u tried a USB mouse?

If both do the same, something sounds not quite right and I cant see it being motherboard.

Could be a software issue, have you tried reinstalling windows?

Also, have you got the correct drivers for your mouse?

i have only tried a PS2 mouse and not the usb type,i have the correct drivers and have reinstalled them for both mouse and keyboard,

so you think i should try a usb mouse and if it goes tits up,its likely to be software rather than hardware ?

Yeah ... OK .. you can take them all (the files) out manually .. but there are over 80-100 from what I can see. All these have to be registered with Windows, etc etc ............ etc ..........
It's like removing MS Java .. You cant .. the same.

But you can't "UNINSTALL" DirectX
