Default Hit & Run Last Night

Managed to get involved in a hit and run last nite here goes...

Me and a few mates went to the cinema and went did a lap of the town then began our journey home. Came to a set of traffic lights, road was empty, usual for 12:00 at night. Anyway a car pulled up beside us, was a new shape nissan primara or something along the lines of that. Didnt think anything of it. Lights turned green so we set off, not raked away but about accelerated at about 40/50%. there was another set of traffic lights 100yards down the road which were read so i immediately started to brake for those lights, as I came closer they turned green so i started accelerating in second gear. Took a mild turn left then BOOOM. The nissan rammed right into the side of the fiesta, fookin T boned me the coont!

Anyway the fiesta ended up infront of him blocking him so i went to get out of the car, as i did that the fucker reversed and drove off, so belt back on we rallied off after it to get his license plate. The wee fiesta was catchin it like a mofo so we got a few car lengths behind it and took the license plate down and phoned the police, told them that we were chasing him etc...

The police man heard the decat and exhaust not of the fiesta and said I better not be speeding and to wise up and let him smoke off cos we had the plate. The nissan was running red lights at junctions and all that pish... So i just let him go on, went to the police station got breathalised produced documents etc just waiting to hear back from them today. We all have stiff necks so fingers crossed he is insured and if not then

heres a few pics....

It looked like there were 4 guys in the car, all in suits. so what i think happened is he had been drinking, and hit us. He was about to get out of the car and his friends advised him that he had drink and would be done for drink driving, and him with having drink in him wasnt thinking straight and drove off.

Not likely to be stolen if they were all in suits. I think as stated he must have been over the limit.

Either way you should be alright as if it was stolen their insurance will pay out and if not then the driver will be identified.

Er I doubt it.... what you are saying is if someone nicks my car, and runs down a que of people at a bus stop they can claim off my insurance?? Er No... How about if the car is sitting on the drive uninsured, what then?? they sue me direct?? Wont happen

BUT there is a "pot" of money we all pay into when we get our insurance to cover uninsured drivers, it takes a while but you can often get money back

What actualy happens Damo if your car gets stolen and the bus que is hit your own insurance company has to pay if they catch the theif that was driving ,if the theif is not found the insurance pool pays not your insurance.I Have experienced this first hand they caught the thief at the scene my insurance had to pay for my cosworth and the injured innocent parties and up went my premiums. Wounder

There's no way that he is insured, No one in there right mind would jump lights etc just because they didn't wont to exchange details. Chances are it was a nicked motor, or he was high.

You should of chased the fooker down citizen arrest the mofo.
But I spose it's easy to say that in hind sight.
You probly did the right thing.
