alright local people?
need some advice on where to take the missus and her sister for a sunday roast on her birthday (a spit roast would make a nicer present i reckon
).
do you know any nice country pubs that do a good one around the wokingham area and surrounding countryside?
i saw this morning that the wellington arms hotel on the a33 do a carvery, tried it?

ye olde leathern bottel is quite a traditional pub/restaurant and the food is good although i havent had a sunday roast there (yet!) not sure where else to suggest really!its in barkham.can give directions if u want?you from around the wokingham area?

try the cricketers near woking, or the brookwood arms. then you got a few on the way into guilford from there also where the berkshire have the meet at the bulls in arborfield. hope this helps, go for a search on the net mate
Try the Plough (Reading Rd?)which is on the road going out of Wokingham to Bracknell, or even the Black Boy in Shinfield ... they do a great carvery and you might get to see me and a few others in there as well

if you cant find anything there is always mac d`s in reading

decided on the golden pot in eversley in the end. was quite a good roast, although more veg would have been nice. service was really good, and desserts were wicked
