its an ignition switch, about 12 quid. size L, a 1 1/4" cube size with a lip around the bottom with 4 equal size male spades on the bottom, numbers, 85,86,87,30. first used 1983, so mk3 escort or similar i reckon...

 

Then that's a standard relay ... But if your'e getting a visual from the catalogue, please remember that all our illustrations are generic (they're not drawings of the actual parts)

 

I believe its for a mk4 escort, so is it an ignition relay ? where does it go ?

 

In a Mk4 it will go in the fusebox towards the back.

 

It's a standard Multi-function 12v 4-pin relay. A million household uses.
