Week or so ago my PC went tits up and IE connection would not work and windows went a bit funny, phoned a specialist up and explained problem, took it to them and they sorted it out, ogt it back can connect to net fine and 99% of everything still works....
BUT
On start up I get this message before the desktop kicks in telling me that a device file called vsdata.vxd is missing. It says that SYSTEM.INI refers to it but it no longer exists...
How do I sort this?
Also, Nero stuff won't work - says it has to be re-installed, no major worry, just wondered why, and also I can use MSN, but if I try to open it from the START menu, it says it can't locate or something

Main thing I need to sort is this vsdata.vxd device file tho

I did - PC came back without it tho....
The Zonealarm stuff was in the START menu>programmes bit tho, but you click on it to start zonealarm and it can't find it so it does that SEARCH/BROWSE thing.....
Your problem seems to be a common ZA problem (or it hasn't been uninstalled properly, but that could be a ZA issue, not necessarily the PC guys) - I'd try downloading it again and reinstalling & reboot.

Actually, I was talking rubbish. The ZA stuff is not in the START menu, nor is it in the ADD/REMOVE programmes thing, so can't even uninstall. Will try the re-download and re-install, Cheers Bill
Can't remember where I got it now
