mk5 escort running a dizzy did ford ever make one???
as above i'm thinking of putting a rs turbo lump in to a mk5 shell but was wondering about the rev counter i know that if you put efi mk4 clocks in to rs turbo they double read because they only run off half the coil pack.
so i was wondering if ford ever made a mk5 escort that run with a dizzy and had a rev counter so's when i put the rs turbo engine in the rev counter will run right or is there some kind of capacitor or such like that i can put in to the wiring that would suppress the signal down so the mk5 efi clocks will run some where near right.

why not use a fez turbo lump or at least management then this wouldnt be an issue?
i dont have an opinion on this as i have never driven a high powerd mk5/6 to compare it too??
so ur running a 2.1 on mfi management? or cossie?
i've got hold of a mk5 escort estate that i'm going to re-wiring with a mk4 rs turbo loom and dropping a 2.1 zvh lump in running the mfi set up but i'm trying to retain the original clocks / replace them with another set of mk5 ones that would run with a dizzy , however since my last post i have been informed that all mk5 escort run with edis so i will not beable to find a std set of clocks that run with a dizzy so ive either now got to fit mk4 clocks into the estate or devise a method so that the rev counter will only 1/2 read the signal that the coil is sending it.
to be honest mate, i think ur best off junking the mfi for efi and going with that setup, gives you a lot more potential from the engine and takes the clock worry out of the equation
