Default adjustable cam pullys on cossy

would you have to work in to the timing ie in rotation or do i go againts the timing to acheave more powere in a cossy engine on both ex& inlet cam or does 1 go back and 1 goes forward or do they both go the same direction .or does this all depend on the cams its standerd cam THANKS

Vernier pulleys are to be used to allow you to time the cams up to exactly the required timing. This means using a DTI and crankshaft protractor and is actually a job best left to the cossie experts!!

DO NOT just turn them randomly as you risk firstly bending your valves and secondly melting the engine should the timing change increase high rpm VE.

Karl, thats true but timing up lets say bd16 cams on standerd cam pullys on ther std timing wount be any good is that right

Kevin Sharp, were not talking bhp were talking cam timing of bd16 on standerd markings . you dont have to be a expert to time up cossies its just bd16 cams have ther own timming settings
