I dont understand what you mean?
Once fitted if its juddering maybe a bad cv joint??
Did you do up the hub nut tight? any play anywhere in the wheels?
I cant see why you would fit it to the hub first, But ether way it shouldn't make a difference.

xr4x4 front shafts are 8mm longer than cossie shafts as such you should have the circlip groove on the shaft that locates the cv machined 8mm further in effectively reducing the length....they should be installed diff end first then the hub end....they will fit and may not have any detrimental effect but the longer shaft alters the plunge depth of the cv and can lead to premature failure of the cv joint...

Regards

Ian

people normally fix XR ones on lowered saphs/esccosies coz theyre longer and less likely to pop out

Collins Engineering do a conversion to standard 4x4 shafts. It costs around £60 per shaft. They remove the standard inner casings and machine thicker interference fit alloy casings in there place.

They told me that they run them on lowered 600bhp+ Escort Cosworths on 19's with 255mm tyres with no problems.

I had mine uprated by them and can highly recommend their work.
