Default Wireless PC connection help please

Hi all
I want to be able to use my laptop anywhere in the house without having a wire from it to the wall for the internet connection.
I went out today to PC world and bought what they said would do the job and i can't get the poxy thing installed properly
Just spent 2 hours fooking about with it and now its back in the box ready to go back tomorrow!
They sold me a Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G router and network card for the laptop. The instructions are shite and i can't be arsed with it anymore
Can someone tell me what i should buy that is fool proof and will allow me to use the comp anywhere in the house?
Cheers Spadge...

You won't m8. The usb one's require a certain kind of router to work properly. And what pc have sold you will probably not work with your internet connection.

So, box it all back up, take it back to pc world and get your money back. Then, buy yourself a PCI network card that has a wireless antenna on it, and a usb wireless adaptor for the laptop and then look at eagles thread in the computer discussion on how to get it working
