home audio ppl......

bought a 42inch tv and it has a phono output for a sub, will i need to buy one with built in amp??? and does it have to have phono connector on or can you get a converter from speaker wire- phono jack??

yes, u need an amp. either feed output to seperate amp, then to a sub, or straight to a powered sub.
