hi guys, this mornin and for the past few morning the car didnt wanna wake up propley - basically when i start it from cold it it runs like on 2 cylinders until i pull a spark plug lead out the head it wakes up then all fours are on song
iv just fitted new 071 plugs i got yesterday too, i thought it needed new plugs
and the head all of a sudden now sounds like a fietsa 1.1's head its gone so loud and clattery i had to top up as the last set of plugs were so bad i lost loads of oil through burning, now i have topped up it still makes noise
please advise

have you gapped the plugs properly?
pulling out a lead might make it fire up that much better because it's not got as much resistance to get past from the gap
then again, it might also be that the new plugs are the worng ones
another possibiilty is that you may have moved something when you changed the plugs and it's not connected up properly

the fookin dizzy cap just gave me a good shock, the ignition coil to cap lead was slighlty melted in and when i wanted to pull it the metal broke so had to get pull it out with pliars so i now need a new dizzy cap, may aswell get a new rotor arm then, if it aint that then the coil is damaged due to getting wet......
that shock has made me feel funny

white smoke? there's no such thing as white smoke really it's generally steam! car's not using any water is it? if it's only after the car's been stood for a few hours that the problem occurs it's possible the head gasket could be letting water into the bores thus the missfire when u start up?
of course i could be pissing in the wind if it's not using water ignore this

it started this mornin fine thankfully
but it still was chuffin out white smoke
last nite i cleaned out the dizzy cap and rotor arm but i may go and buy new ones...
also when i pulled the coil to dizzy cap lead the metal connection broke in the cap, i think its very old and not giving spark all the time - thats where i think the white smoke problem is...am i right?

Kam - your white smoke is the fookin headgasket - how many times do you need to be told
for fooks sake - get it sorted and do it once, that way you wont keep having stupid little problems as they will often make way for bigger ones.
