Default Well chuffed!good tip!

not very exciting but I just got a snapped exhaust stud bolt out by welding on top of the stud, (which was about 8mm below the surface) until it was above the surface then undid her with a set of mole grips!

just saved me taking the head off an saved me a few quid too!

easily pleased!

Welding is an excellent way (if not the best way IMO) of removing snapped studs, not only because you can weld something on to grip the stud with but because of the heat generated in welding also helps free the stud

was told if that didnt work could try using a tig set, to like you say use the controllable heat to heat the thing and weld summit to it to remove it!

damn site easier than trying to drill the fooker out with no room!
