yes and no. supposed to give a higher voltage than std which should give a stronger spark. to me, the only advantage is that they're cheap and new, so should be reliable

I've also got an Group A Coil, and i've never noticed any big difference...but I think it's a nice ad-on to a fast cossie
If you are running boost levels of 2Bar and above you will need a group A coil or the spark will be blown out by the charge entering the combustion chamber, feels like the rev limit is set at 4000 revs
btw, your spark isn't being 'blown out' - it's just that there is too much resistance in the air between the 2 electrodes meaning that the voltage isn't high enough for the spark to be able to jump the gap there. it will be finding an easier path to earth somewhere else. it could also be cured by making sure that all other components in the ht system are in good condition.
if you really want a stronger spark, go to coil pack or coil on plug
Your not meant to notice a difference as they dont increase you BHP just let you run a bigger gap, it may idle a little better too with the bigger gaps.
