how can i tell if my s2 is chipped
hi i was told by the last owner my car is chipped but how can i tell??
my rs runs 0.8 bar boost and has no amal valve fitted just a bleed valve.
would a un chipped car run this boost or would the amal valve normaly cut the boost.? my exhaust tip is black with soot so i guess the fueling is correct/overfueling?
at 0.8 bar it runs fine pulls well to 5500 rpm then runs out of puff
but at 0.4 bar the top end seems to pull harder up to limiter, could that be not enough fuel or just the std intercooler not being effective at higher boost
thanx for any answers

HI,
Maybe chipped usual is about 10psi, max, without being chipped,
but have seen some higher supposed to be none chipped,
std boost is o.4 to 0.55bar, take the lid off the silver ecu, and you normal would
see,, ok chips but the one changed usually has the company label on it ie superchip. approx 12mm by 30mm.
