Default Intercoolers & Chips?

Hi all, just in process of sourcing some new bits for my soon to be new car.

Info can be found HERE

Anyways, i am looking around for a nice shiney FMIC, and there are quite a few on ebay, universal ones, now i know they may not be as good as other brand name ones, but its worth a shot.

What i am after is the dimensions of you fmic's, so i can get a universal one as close to the needed size as poss.

Found ones with 100mm core, 3" inlet & outlets, but the size of the ic & the position of the inlet & outlet pipes is what i really need.

Many thanks for any help

Also, chips, whats my best option there?

Thanks again,

Mark.

agree with the turbosystems , a very good chip and so much better than the ahmed one that was in it

cant help with dimensions , but if you are cutting the bumper then think about the cossie conversion a better option if you ask me

2wd or 4wd cossie intercooler , either a reverse charge carrier or some alloy pipe work as the cossie coolers are single pass

you do need to trim the bottom of the bumper slightly but imo this doesnt look as bad the whole bumper being chopped

Has anyone got any pics & dimensions of FMIC's?

someone must be able to nip out & measure it up?

and there has to be a pic of one not fitted to a car?

anyone got contact details for turbosystems, for this chip of theirs?

many thanks.

The big advantage of turbosystems chips is that Tony can program an ignition curve to your spec of engine. So u need to decide on things like cams and turbo before u order it.

Do any of the manufacturers have dimensions etc on the websites?

I just want to measure up before i buy.

Do the majority of FMIC's fit in without much cutting? Is there a how to fitting guide anywhere?

They all now fit withoug cutting. The best intercooler now is the pace full frontal with reversed charge carrier - but its pricey.

What about the inside edges, do they need filled? where the big chunky bit is, where the number plate used to go?
