Default urgent advice needed please

1992 sapphire cosworth 4x4 . sunay night my car started smoking a little from the exhaust, only after letting the foot of the pedal, last night smoking continually even on idle, called rac they came out ,no idea what it was ,suggested maybe turbo or cracked ring, in ford garage today they have no idea what the problem is !!!!!! turbo seems to be clear of oil, plugs are ok no oil on them, but i have noticed my exhaust has an awful lot of water in it , and the smell of petrol/oil is very strong. At a complete loss and ford are no help either. Please can someone shed any light on possible causes. Anything will be very much appreciated
