why does my cossie cut out????

Default why does my cossie cut out????

please help my saff cos cuts out on me, it seems to be when the car has warmed up fully,i have changed leads plugs dizzy and coil.is there a sensor somewhere that could cause this??any help aprecciated thanx

ECT sensor gives ecu signal how hot engine coolant is so can adjust fueling and idle valve.

hi, had an 88 2 wd cossie (new) and it suffered from a faulty coil......warmed up and went short cct, stop, cool down, start again....have you tried that ?

i have changed the coil about two weeks ago,the car done before i changed the coil aswel but never done it as much as it does now.it maybe used to do it once in a while but now it seems to be when its warmed up especially after iv give it a little boot.Also when it does fire back which takes a few turns,there is quite a bit of smoke(blue/black).i have just changed the turbo for anew one,i have also topped the water up cos it was on the min,as it has always been since owning the car.any help aprecciated thanx p.s where do i find that sensor at mate,how much?

You will find it at the back right side near dipstick. its a blue sensor. Prices vary from 99p - £25. I got a new one off ebay for £4.99.

Phase sensor, TDC sensor??

Same problem twice, i replaced the sensor and the problems where gone.

Phase sensor is located in the dizzy, TDC sensor is lokated at the crank pully
