Hi, my mate has a mk1 mondeo 2.5 v6, the thing is the inlet butterflies are susposed to open at 3.5k revs but are not, we know they are vacuum operated, but they are just not opening, and the car feels like its holding back
anyone had this problem, before or knows of the problem and how to fix it?
cheers

This is a common problem on the duratec V6, (I had it on a previous ST24).
Full explanation of the problem with pictures and the proceedure for sorting it out should be on the Mondeo Owners BB. (Essentially it's just a case of taking the inlet manifolds off and cleaning around the throttle butterflies).
