I want to get a decent petrol cap, was thinking of getting a pukka carbon surrond that rivits in, and then get a lockable petrol cap type thing to match, but as so many cars have that fake stick on shit i wasnt sure if there were any better alternatives ?

Gra, im sure the escort's have a petrol cpa that lets in air as the petrol i sucked out the tank, adamS2rst (im sure it is) had problems with fuel hoses leaking etc cos he didnt have an original one which let in air, so if air doesnt get in the tank could impload?!?
As above, I am the very same that had trouble with aftermarket petrol caps, wouldn't bother IMO, threw it straight in the bin when I knew it was causing my problems! Stick to the original ford item, it is made for the car, if it aint broke don't try n fix it!
