Default to wrap or not to wrap,

i know this gets asked alot but cant remember the answer

i have a tubular manifold and the heat it generates is causing my bonnet to blister up

is it recomended to heat wrap the manifold or not?

as i have seen a few cars lately some with some without

thanks

I have done this on mine.

Works well, keeps temps down.

manifold retains more heat which is transfered into the head. Especially when the car is switched off.

If you go this route an electric water pump on a timer would be advisable, keeps water running after engine is switched off for a couple of minutes..

Lag everything BUT the turbo and manifold by the sounds of it. A lot of reading for you.
