Don't know why everyone who owns a scoob reckons they're so quick. I followed a standard looking P1 (276bhp I think), when we hit a dual carriageway - I only run a stage 1, but we went from 40mph to 120mph. I must have rolled off the power 3 times as I was running up to his rear bumper.....

They do sound very nice though.....

How pissed off do you think he'd feel if he tried having ago at a 4-500bhp+ Cossy not knowing the power of it and thinking they were all like that? That would be so soul destroying

"ello, autotrader, how much to sell my car?"

Went out fpr a passenger ride in a P1 round combe on sunday, handled LOADS better than i expected! based on the Sti-5 Type-R they are both around 300bhp (although book says 280) gimme a tuned cossie anyday though. It wasnt slow by any means but didnt really feel FAST. Also got taken out in a Jag XKR convertible, 400bhp that one, but it was just so smooth you dont get any sensation of speed looked the dogs balls tho 20" rims and huuge brakes.

Subaru's are shit End of

The owners just make me laugh as they are so sure their Jap crap will nail virtually anything to a wall. 310bhp Scoob that's nothing more than a stage 2 Cossie with a couple of toys and you can bet the Cossie didn't cost half as much to get that power either

FFS I can nail the lid on the coffin of some Imprezza's and wouldn't dream of tangling with a quick Cossie

In all fairness, when you've got 407bhp a LOT of things are slow

I personally dont mind them and think their great cars out the box. If they were all standard cars along with standard Cossy (if there is any left) then it would be a closer than you'd like to think. Although I think the interiors look pretty shit as they still have the plastic feel to them like an old 70/80's Toyota, Datsun or Mazda.

I thought it was funny as the guy put up a post about not winning it, which is fair play to him even though theres a hell of a lot of Scooby boys/gals who think they automatically qualify to kill Cossys as there mate in the pub said they will

Most of us know this is just a vicious rumour anyway

Wasn't that on MY97/98's though?

I'd still have a Cossy any day over a Scooby though, but current commitments wont even allow me to put an extra gear or even handlebar tassles on my push bike

Nath it was piston slap on MY97/98 cars wasnt it ? UK cars anyway.

I had up untill 4 weeks ago both cars. Scooby was a good all round package but i love my cossies too much. Scoob was just extra secruity sat in front of the garage

People just buy them because they are fashionable now i think not because they are a good relitvley cheap all round car out of the box. I think the fashion thing is what gave all the good scoob drivers a bad name fore themselves. The new age of scoob driver are just invincible i just leave them to it as they scare me too much these days

Sorry, Subaru's are very much overrated. Sound nice, but buy an Evo instead. FAR better car.
