burn them a bit maybe (depending what they made of), but not blow em out, it creates a flame not an explosion, lol

What a fecking idiot am i!
you put the coil in your boot(hopefully behind a panel)...and drill a hole in the boot floor to run the ht lead down from the coil!...drill a hole in the xzorst (mines in the first part of the tail pipe and cannot be seen, unless your laying on the floor)....put the plug in the xzorst (secure it)hopefully upwards then conect the ht lead to the plug....also...run a wire for the switch through the car!.....not under it!....mines along the side under the plastic trim!....

just went out to take some photos!...how kind am i!....and just spotted a few places that are now in need of some hammerite! so i now know what im doin on wednesday

anyway the pics...

i thank you!

or get it fitted by the people that cossie mad uses!...call him he give ya there number!....there not that far and good price!

I saw this once at a cruise on a RST (spark plug before the back box)
& it looked back box was glowing red hot, baffles were coming out the exhaust, & the back bumper was melting
But the lad thought it was great

Matt,

There's no point saying it can't be done, because:

a) one of the know alls on the board will tell me that they have years of experience and it'll be fine.

b) you'll do it anyway.

Personally, and from my VAST experience of these things, put it after the backbox.

well, i built it yesterday, and put an oscilloscope accross the 555 and it switched ok, but when the load was added the transistor stayed high and foookin hot, it wount not spark either, but it did if i kept touching the wire of the coil onto the output...
