Default here we go, oh boy-all washed up

Ok guys and dolls, since I can perhaps post new pics and reply to the old topic, BUT cannot look at it. Decided to just start a new topic.

IF however the oh so mighty web master CAN fix it, what can't he fix????

here are the updates, all pieces are welded, all holes in the body have been nicely redone, have to say our body workshop is among teh best in this kind of restoration.
Preparation, remember that inner wing part, well taadaaa meet the all new part, zink'd and bye bye rust

more, look no more wholes

fitting of the new part

the new wing all welded, needs to be smoothed

just check it how nice it's been smoothed, no more welding spots, hey i didn't do the welding, bUT credits to me in smoothing it

close up of the inner wing, still needs finishing

See the difference in colours, well the lighter one IS THE colour it'll have for the rest of her new life

This one is just for fun, we even give services to ................lawnmowers

Will be working on the underside of the car all week after work, has to be nice, to prevent ................rusting ever again, ever EVER
keep the new comments coming

wel thx for the compliments, nothing special, just noise, dust and sparks for the moment, sanding, etc...

oh, you wouldn't believe it, upon close inspection of the chassis, guess what I found..........yep, a tiny rusty spot, so started to scrape it off and got me a hole the size of, dunno a nice size hole actually

aha back again, had no time in continuing the underbody, so focus'd on the spare wheel well, and the trunk.
need your advice here, as I'm thinking in "stone guarding", the complete trunk, but still painting it afterwards, as it isquite dented, only two pics, but it shows that i'm a freak in restoring my dream!!!!

keep the comments comming, starting to respect me at work as they seem to understand that I'm not letting go this dream

righto , chassis is all prep'd up, so it should be able to withstand the test of time, and our salty weather.
Will take some pics as of tommora.
engine bay is finally rust free
the porb is that I always want to get ahead of things, like I already wanna do the interior, but am stopped by the body workers, what ever the're called in English
c ya tomorra

Default major update

street no "louvring" has been done.

OK been collecting dust and dust in sanding down all filler, nearly getting there:

Been fitting the all smoothed rear bumper, trying to cut down the last piece of S1 bodykit

Any body know how he did make this fit? Meaning the alignement of the kit with the bumper?

Underside, nearly ready, neads black paint to all look the same, no more rust on the important parts

on the menu for comming week : SANDING, dust all the way

rightto, not much done really, as I haven't had much time in takin gcare of her, except that I gave green light to our bodywork shop to sand and prepare the finer touches on all joints. Remember it has got a new roof, the guy doing them is a můaster @ it.
Will post some pics, it's truly a masterpiece, down side it's alot offaŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁ's

Default aha

here's another small update, just wanted to share to you guys
as said before, never knew sanding was this hard, and boy that machine sanding paper just flies, luckily I got my connexions (cheaper by the dosen)
this week will try and fit the remaining S1 body kit, then it's just to our sanding man to complete the difficult parts, then.......PRIMER I guess

right side =done

This side just flew, sanded it perfrectly in 3/4 hour, .........machinely that is

Next update will be with the complete kit on it
ciao a tutti
