Dan Brown's 'The Da Vinci Code'
Thoroughly enjoyable tale but it is a work of fiction, rather like the bible and all those other holy books.
There may be elements of truth to it, like the hidden things in Michaelangelo's pictures, but I can't believe how worked up some people have became, accusing Mr Brown of blasphemy and who knows what else.
He's written some other books and I would particularly recommend Angels and Demons, which is where you learn why the Vatican owed him a favour in The DaVinci Code.

Pokie: I had a really good time thanks
Hannah: Yeah i thought it was dead good, and to an extent i think i beleive it...
So much so that i bought the book 'Holy Blood and The Holy Grail' yesterday...
Just wondered if any one else beleives it and are the rumours true that its going to become a film?

cool... i shall look forward to that, was looking on holiday, at the special edition illustrated version' parts of it would have been more clearer if i had seen this, for example that band what Silas wears around his leg, i imagined it to be alot more grousome than it actually is!!
Read "The Da Vinci Code", "Angels and Demons" and "Digital Fortress".
Preferred Digital Fortress.
"The Da Vinci Code" is just a typical "If I tell the story like this and add a trillion plot changes, they will deffo turn it into a movie"-book.
So... not bad but have read better books
Am curious about the movie though! 'Coz in my mind I did NOT see Tom Hanks when reading about Robert Langdon

I didnt picture Langdon as Tom Hanks either. Deffo more of a Harrison Ford in his Indi days........ (thats probably waaaay to obvious tho

He's written four books, and they're not connected, aside from using the same character in some.
Deception Point is pretty good too, but Angels and Demons is superb!
If you like that stuff, and enjoy a bit of hostorical interest, have a try of Wilbur Smith's "River God", and then "Seventh Scroll" - very entertaining!
