1/4mile@14.2
i was running 14.5secs all day then i busted a 14.2, now i only hav had the car a month i payed 1500pounds for it, it had A DYNO PLOT FOR 180bhp and 194ftlbs, is this right? in performance ford mag there was only 1 car listed on the performance page with a lower time then that! i got all the proof u need for that time!
thats good for that power, at santa pod on friday, the best i could do was 15.2 and my car is stripped out inside, with around 200bhp, but i only put a mk6 gearbox in and a new clutch in 24hrs before and couldnt get used to the changes also with a fucked cv joint
surely though the thing must be running more than that, its only boosting to 15psi, it holds that in 5th too all the way too 6grand, do i smell a hybrid? also i can keep up with cossies i had a few good drag races on the way home frm silverstone today! i thinks im going to get myself to power engineering and really see wats its doing! oh yea i did a 14.6 with a boot full of beer food a toolbox and tyres pumped right up, i found the best gains wer frm removal of headlamp and spraying the i/c and filter (only a lil) with water!
i dont know mate, next time u can drive my car up the strip and get a good time out of it, my car dont seem to pick up till 70 then i ran out of track, i got 102mph for the speed, the second run i ran with my i/c spray on and could only manage a 16!, its all about the start
v.true, im still hoping my motors had a bit more dun too it then wats bn let on, it does well over 140, thats off the clock so i dont know wats its really doing! i had a terminal speed of 97mph
one thing to look for if yours is uprated, the i/c or charge cooler, if u have a big front mount, or charge cooler u have a decent spec, if u have a standard i/c, either it was a good spec and the i/c has been taken off and sold, and u will have high act's, take a look, either a pace half size front mount, or full front mount grs, pro alloy etc, or a charge cooler
i ran a 15.5 down pod in mine and that come off the rollers(harvey gibbs) at 178bhp. either i cant drive or yours has been uprated since the rolling road print out?? eithe way well done mate, thats a bloody good time

i ran 14.4 at santa pod in my old s1 125000 mile engine 188 bhp basic mods ie chip, filter, exhaust,k&n,piper cam and pace cooler ran 17 psi of boost held 16 on 15" standard wheels.
quick little car that was want to try my new s1

its got pace uprated i/c -31 actuator, chiped, filter and xhaust, charge temps wer 56 deg.c on full throttle, might get water inj and i/c spray get those temps down and might be able to run 13.99!
the motor feels strong, if it had more than 200bhp im sure it wld av 5th inj! going to run in oct's rwyb and try my hardest to get into the 13's, stripped, slicks, few more ftlbs of torque! i got my assed wooped by that yellow mini

ya dont need massive power to get quick times its all about the launch my r5 is 225bhp and ive run a 12.68 at 110.79mph, but the reason for the good time was my launches, my best was 1.930 60ft, im hoping to get that into the 1.8 as im still on standard shocks, then with nos im going for 11s
if ya compare to what ure 60ft are then that will show.
if ya post up ya 60ft times it will give an indication of whats happening, also i havent got an lsd like u guys

turbotoaster, r5s seem to be the king of quarters, ive ownd 5 reno 5 turbos none std and can say they are allot easier to get off the line then any rs ive driven not quite sure what it is but something is defnetly right with r5s for quarters mabe its the gear ratios?
r5s are getting fooking amazing times now especialy now they are using vnts
I wantd to get a vnt for my r5 then it blew up so now running xr2 turbo

im getting ready for oct's rwyb, 13.99 is on the cards, got some sticky tyres hopefully quickshit, im gunna try water inj and get my charge temps down for more torque and stripping it out! fingers crossed!!
i really want big power but theres lil traction with wat i got, just going to concentrate on getting good handling and maybe a bit more power

Well this is strange or im a shit launcher , i had a rst that was rolling roaded with a 156bhp@wheels@14psi which is probably about 180ish bhp at flywheel figures , this car was great and my best with new tyres was a 15.1 @crail and on my best day after a 100 trys probably i reckon maybe busted into the 14`s but only just
yea it is strange i couldnt beleive it, nor could ne1 with me but i have the ticket to prove and was doing 14.5's allday! weird?! got last rollroad print out at 180bhp at the fly going to get another dyno done soon wen i get my aqua mist!!

Power delivery is crucial, wheelspin etc and you're fooked from the start
Gear changes at the right point too, no point taking it too high in rev range cos not many RST's keep producing power at 5.5k+
I completely knackered my 0-60 at Ford Fair and got I think a 7.86 or summit silly - bad gear change and first EVER attempt
