ive had 1orion ,6 xr2,s,mk4 xr3i,series1 turbo,xr2 was best of the bunch loved it ,,,but over the last 3 or four years, 1 prob breaking down all time and wait for it rrrrrrrrrrrrust rust fookin rust ,series 1 best looking car ever in my eyes @@,but talk about problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.i now own a 1,9 pug gti standard 1 ,g reg no rust anywhere and the power i could not believe ,soz about spelling there ,handling was ace too to be honest i was ford crazy up until 1 month ago now im a total convert didnt think i would ever say that not writing this to get folks going but not going to go back now ???????

 

wait till the electrical problems start on the pug mate.
they are a fooookin nightmare for that..

And also remember, when the manifold goes on the Pug, and they all do, they're a fecking nightmare to change, being at the back like and with the engine leaning towards the car

 

Ive got a rs2000, rst, 205gti & a golf. The pug has been the most reliable one out of the bunch and clean as a whistle, but i find the fords so much more fun to drive & prefere the looks aswell.

 

its just had a manifold so glad about that ,,series 1 was bad fookin awful in fact cant do wi that shit again ,,ive still got s1 locked away still go look at it now and again the pug would piss allover s1 ive got a bit scary that

look at the german motors, BUT ya pay ya money ect

my xr3i cabrio has only ever been washed twice, never broken down and is still my car i use everyday, looks like shit as i never look after it but its not rusty at all

cost me 500 quid too

and that gets a real caining too, has had to keep up with cossies and high power erst's in the past, still managed to keep going

BUT my cossie aint soo good, but then if i was to drive your pug 200 miles with no oil and test donuts with it and drive it back at speed im sure yours would be the same
