Default cossie overfuelling, what could cause this??with readings***

had my car in for an mot yesterday and besides the usual bitching about it doesn't have a cat it failed on emissions because they are pretty high even without a cat, the car is a green top 93 saph with stage 3 ahmed chip, greens and a t3 3bar etc.....
Anyways here are the readings.

Fast idle test 1ST
Engine RPM 2750/3150
CO % VOL LIMIT 0.3 ACTUAL READING 4.42
HO ppm VOL LIMIT 200 ACTUAL READING 241
LAMBDA LIMIT 0.95/1.09 ACTUAL 0.95

2ND Fast Idle Test
CO % Limit 0.3 actual reading 4.73
HC ppm VOL limit 200, actual 258

natural idle test
CO % Vol limit 0.5 , Actual value 4.98

lots of unburnt fuel coule be:

faulty coolant ECT sensor telling the ecu that the engine is still cold, ie run rich until warm.

injector nozzles clogged causing drops of fuel rather than a fine mist.

faulty map sensor telling the ecu that the car is under load when its not causeing more fuel.

blocked air filter, causing a lack of air so it runs rich.

a few to start with

it could just be how the chip is set or how the car is setup

Cheers, the car has been sitting for a while, i have a replacement coolant sensor that i have still yet to fit, i am not 100% convinced it's the setup, so if that doesn't work i'll get another MAP sensor. Cheers for your help.

I had the same problem with my -93 Esc Cos when I put an AB chip in it for some years ago.
After many hours with testing and replacing all the other components.... I send the ECU to Mr Bajoo. When I got it back everyting works perfect... He would't tell what he had done with it, but the same anyway... the car went very well after.

This was his chip for 803's 3 bar P8 ecu

If noting else matter, contact Mr Bayjo

but apart from teh base idle and wastegate actuator pre tension settings there is not to setup other than the chip, and for an off the shelf chip it should (i would have though) run fairly well based on a standard configuration engine (necessary mods included)

Maybe the car is past it's best a bit like the owner.

Only joking mate i've been looking at a few site's regarding Viw and the problem you have and honestly im at a total loss.

Reckon it could either be a sensor or the chip playing up.

Still cant believe how high the emissions are. Doh!!!!
